I specialize in working from a trauma-informed, culturally-informed, and inclusive perspectives. My training in medical family therapy focused on recognizing how physical factors influence mental health. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, self-harm, OCD, LGBTQIA community, and relationship issues with college students as well as couples counseling and working with mixed race/culture and mixed faith couples. In addition to providing services as a therapist, I enjoy researching and teaching. I am currently working on a study looking at the experience of mixed-faith marriages and one looking at the experience of faith transition within the LDS church. I spent time working at the BYU student health center with students experiencing a variety of challenges including being in the LGBTQIA community at BYU and faith transitions. I trust that healing comes through finding balance in all aspects of our lives and living true to our own values.
