Ariel Wootan Merkling, LCSW, authored the master’s thesis, “Dispelling Domestic Violence Myths Among Graduate Social Work Students.” She is the owner of Audacity Counseling in Provo UT where she works primarily with women with trauma from across the spectrum of Mormon experience. Ariel is trained in EMDR and psychedelic- assisted psychotherapy and is a member of the LGBT+ Affirmative Therapist Guild of Utah. She’s presented at Sunstone and MMHA in the past. On her days off, Ariel enjoys reading, crafts with her kids, and upcycling projects.
