This training will equip mental health professionals with strategies to integrate the concept of
queer joy into their therapeutic practice. Attendees will explore the significance of queer joy in
enhancing the well-being and resilience of LGBTQIA+ Mormon clients. The session will cover
practical techniques to create an affirming environment, challenge pathologizing narratives,
and celebrate positive aspects of queer identities.

Colette Dalton (she/her) is an LCSW and certified sex therapist in the state of Utah. She owns
Queerful Counseling, her private practice, where she specializes in working with queer
individuals, especially those dealing with religious trauma, faith transitions, and issues around
sex.

Dr. Lacey Bagley (she/her) is an LMFT in the state of Utah and holds a PhD in marriage and
family therapy from BYU. She owns Celebrate Therapy, a mental health and relationship clinic
that serves LGBTQIA+ individuals, couples, polyamorous networks, and families in Provo, Utah.
