I chose this field because I’m passionate about human connection and the incredible strength people can find when they feel truly heard and valued. My approach is warm, person-centered, and focused on kindness with some humor sprinkled in—values that I carry both professionally and personally. In our sessions I will meet you where you are to address both immediate concerns and underlying patterns. I believe in creating a safe, judgment-free environment where we can explore your thoughts, beliefs, and emotions together, and ultimately build a path toward resilience and growth.
Religion can bring a mix of emotions—sometimes it’s painful to stay, and other times, it’s painful to leave. My goal is to create a space where every feeling is welcome, without any pressure or agenda. I’ve worked with clients across the full spectrum, from those wrestling with anger and disillusionment—even those who might echo the sentiment of ‘Hasa Diga Eebowai’—to those who are deeply committed to maintaining their temple recommend. Most of my clients come in with a range of concerns beyond religious matters, but they value that I understand and respect LDS Church references and cultural nuances.
I am specialized in working with those in the LGBTQIA+ community and also with those who have eating disorders. These specialities came from working at a group private practice providing subsidized therapy to the LGBTQIA+ community and working at an eating disorder treatment center. Along with these specialities, I especially love working with people who have relationship concerns, low self worth, and life transitions. I also have vast experience working with anxiety, depression, women’s concerns, body image, and trauma.
