Professional Statement

You made a mistake this morning. It was small, but you can’t get it out of your head. You keep thinking about it. You feel like your thoughts are a runaway train and you can’t stop them. You try to consider what you could have done differently, and yet it’s in the past. You start to question other choices you’ve made. Are you making the right call? Doubt creeps in. You find it hard to concentrate on your family or partner, your job, or schoolwork. Your mind hurts, your stomach hurts, your body hurts. You feel exhausted; it’s only been an hour.

You want to be present, to live in the moment. To laugh, to have fun and not worry what others may think. When you work with me, you can expect to feel safe, understood, hopeful, and empowered. You can also expect to learn strategies to help you progress toward your relationship and mental wellness goals.

I believe change is possible with self-awareness, compassion, commitment, and consistency. I offer individuals and couples to residents in Utah (in-person and online). I also offer individual and couples therapy to residents in Virginia (online). Give me a call to have a free 15-minue consultation.
