Professional Statement

I believe meaningful change happens when you feel genuinely seen, understood, and accepted. Therapy isn’t about someone telling you what’s wrong or giving you all the answers. It’s a collaborative process where we become curious together about your experiences, understand the patterns that have shaped your life, and create new ways of responding that feel more authentic and sustainable.

Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, or a major life transition, my goal is to provide a space where you can slow down, reconnect with yourself, and move toward lasting change at a pace that feels safe. I understand that many of the ways we cope today once helped us survive difficult experiences. Rather than judging those patterns, we’ll work together to understand them, honor the purpose they’ve served, and develop new ways of meeting your needs.

For more than 15 years, I’ve worked with teens, adults, and older adults facing a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. My practice is grounded in attachment theory, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), somatic therapy, mindfulness, and other interventions tailored to your unique needs. I believe healing involves both the mind and the body, and I often incorporate practical skills, nervous system awareness, and experiential strategies alongside thoughtful conversation.

No two people experience life in the same way, so I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Together, we’ll build a treatment plan that reflects your goals, strengths, values, and lived experiences. I strive to create an affirming, culturally responsive environment where people from all backgrounds—including members of the LGBTQ+ community—feel respected, valued, and safe to explore what matters most.

Clients often describe me as calm, genuine, and engaged. I bring warmth, curiosity, creativity, and directness to our work together while honoring your expertise in your own life. My hope is that therapy becomes more than a place to manage symptoms, but a safe place to explore and reconnect with what your body already knows, and build a life that is grounded, connected, and true to who you are.
