I work with people who are tired of determining their worth by how much they weigh or what they ate that day. I aim to help you rediscover your worth, raise your self-esteem, gain confidence, and find peace. I also work with people struggling with anxiety, relationships, and faith.
I believe two of the biggest factors affecting the effectiveness of therapy are:
The relationship you have with your therapist.
The effort you put into therapy.
It’s important that you are able to trust your therapist and feel comfortable talking with them. It’s impossible for therapists not to bring their personalities into therapy, and mine frequently shows up through humor, warmth, validation, education, and empowerment.
It’s also important to practice the things you learn in therapy. Therapy is only 1 hour out of 168 in your week. We’ll choose “therapy homework” together, but it will be up to you to go home and complete them to bring yourself closer to your goals.
