Professional Statement

Anxiety and challenges in relationships and life are normal. I help clients learn how to better deal with them. I work with individuals and couples to help them increase their anxiety tolerance and their self-confidence in order to develop more meaningful and authentic relationships. I am both compassionate and direct with clients.

I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland Baltimore. I worked in hospital social work for a couple of years. I then worked at an eating disorder treatment center for 3 years where I received extensive training in treating clients and their families with significant eating disorders, anxiety, and mood disorders.. Then, I worked at a group practice treating clients with mental health issues for 3 years.. For the past couple of years I’ve worked in my own private practice with both individuals and couples.

I have training in the Crucible Therapy approach, an integrated treatment for sex, intimacy, and relationship problems, developed by Dr. David Schnarch. I help clients individuals and couples who are trying to manage work, relationships, and family responsibilities without burning out. I help clients create deeper passion and intimacy in their marriages.
