Thank you for being here! My name is Janie and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker offering telehealth therapy in Utah and North Carolina. I specialize in supporting deeply caring people—helpers, caregivers, professionals, and those living with chronic illness—who feel burned out, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves.

My work is trauma-informed and rooted in nervous system healing, boundary-setting, and reclaiming identity. I often integrate EMDR to help clients move through painful past experiences that still shape the present. Whether you’re navigating compassion fatigue, chronic illness (including Type 1 diabetes), or the weight of long-held trauma, you don’t have to do it alone.

Most of my clients are adults and older teens. I connect with the overperforming, overintellectualizing and anxious folks. If you find yourself needing more support than you’re currently receiving in life, therapy may be a good fit for you.

I support clients exploring their experiences in high-demand religious environments, including the LDS (Mormon) church. This may look like processing spiritual trauma, navigating faith transitions, or finding your voice and values within a religious framework. Wherever you are staying, questioning, or leaving – I offer care without judgment.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and truly caring. Together we’ll explore what’s beneath the exhaustion and build space for rest, resilience, and self-trust. You deserve the same compassion you so freely give to others.

I hold a BSW from Brigham Young University–Idaho and an MSW from Boise State University. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, I now live in Raleigh, NC, and love to travel, cook, and read. I’d be honored to connect and see if we’re a good fit.
