Professional Statement

Healing from religious trauma can feel incredibly lonely, especially when the beliefs or communities that once gave your life meaning have also caused deep pain. If you are questioning your faith, grieving the loss of a spiritual community, untangling shame, or rediscovering who you are outside of harmful religious messages, you are not alone. I am here to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and without judgment.

I work with adults navigating religious trauma, spiritual abuse, faith transitions, purity culture, perfectionism, anxiety, and the lasting impact of high-control or authoritarian environments. Whether you have left your faith, are redefining your beliefs, or still hold onto parts of your spirituality, my goal is to help you reconnect with your own voice and values.

I believe healing begins when you no longer have to hide parts of yourself to feel accepted. Together, we will create a space where your questions, doubts, anger, grief, and hope are all welcome. We will explore the experiences that shaped you, understand patterns that no longer serve you, and build a life that feels authentic and aligned with who you are today.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. I use evidence-based therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) with advanced training in treating dissociation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailoring each approach to your unique story and needs. Together, we will process painful experiences, build practical coping skills, and reconnect with your inner strength.

Reaching out for therapy can be one of the hardest steps, especially if trust has been broken in the past. My hope is that our work together offers something different: a relationship where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to move forward with greater freedom, self-compassion, and confidence.
