Professional Statement

Kristin Bennion is a licensed mental health therapist and AASECT Certified Sex Therapist with over 15 years of experience providing individual therapy as well as relationship therapy and coaching. With a welcoming and engaging approach, she provides clients evidence-based treatment for concerns related to emotional, psychological, spiritual and sexual well-being. Kristin’s expertise and unique relatability creates a safe and collaborative environment for discussing her clients’ unique concerns as she assists them in acquiring their desired insight, skill set, healing and growth.

Before beginning her career as a therapist, she gained invaluable experience working as a case manager for a domestic violence shelter, serving on the homeless provider committee in Salt Lake City, and volunteering at the Rape Recovery Center through its Crisis Line and hospital response team. She has extensive experience working in residential treatment as well as emergency room crisis work. These experiences along with many others provided her with invaluable insight and expertise in working with a spectrum of clinical mental health topics as well as an awareness of a deep passion for working with sexuality, religious concerns, and the intersection of the two topics.

In addition to running a practice and working with clients, Kristin decided to return to school and is working toward a PhD in Human Sexuality after being out of grad school for over a decade. The knowledge she has gained thus far has only deepened her understanding of topics related to sexuality, gender, religion and spirituality and has given her even more clinically sound tools to help her clients thrive.
