Hello, my name is Maina. I am from San Diego, California and specialize in trauma-focused therapy. I am not a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints however I know and have worked with many individuals who are in and out of the church and deconstructing their experience. I am happy to work with individuals at any place on the faith spectrum and while I have never been a member myself, I am very familiar with the community, values, and culture.

I am able to work with individuals in California, Utah & Idaho and specialize in therapy for individuals experiencing trauma, PTSD symptoms, traumatic and abusive relationships, substance reliance and addiction, and other mental health conditions. I work with individuals, couples, and families providing evidence-based services to target their needs and goals.

I can provide in-person therapy in Carlsbad, CA and remote therapy to anyone in CA, UT & ID. Because I am licensed in those three states, I am easily able to work with families and couples across state lines.
