I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the Founder of Guest House Therapy. I offer therapy services to clients in Utah. My practice focuses on supporting those navigating LDS faith transitions, anxiety, and men exploring therapy for the first time. I also work with those experiencing challenges with shame, scrupulosity, and anger.
My therapeutic approach is down-to-earth and conversational. I’m engaged in our discussion, ask lots questions and give plenty of feedback. My goal is to help you develop practical strategies for improvement so you can meet your goals quickly.
If you wonder about my ability to understand your Mormon journey, you can rest easy—I am fully aware of and compassionate toward people in every stage of LDS belief and activity. I understand the beliefs of both dedicated church members and those who have stepped away. I take pride in helping you navigate the intersection of faith, religion, and mental health with sensitivity and respect—wherever you are on your journey.
By way of background, I grew up in Southern California and have called Utah County home for nearly 15 years. My career began in education (Master of Education from Utah Valley University), but I transitioned to social work, (Master of Social Work from Indiana University) to provide the deeper support I observed those in my community needed. My former life as an All-American pitcher at BYU (Bachelor of Arts in Humanities) has also fueled my interest in human growth and development.
If you’re hesitant about therapy but feel something needs to change, I offer a free consultation. It’s a no-pressure opportunity to see if we’re a good fit and to discuss how I can support you. Whatever your decision, I’m here to help you find the best path forward.
