Professional Statement

“Loving ourselves through the process of owning our story is the bravest thing we will ever do” Brene Brown. My clients are often those navigating how to take ownership of their story in a way that feels authentic and empowering as they work through relationship issues, anxiety, depression, the perinatal period, life transitions, religious trauma, and more. This often involves self identity work, discovering or reclaiming values, setting boundaries/interpersonal work, learning how to both accept emotions and take action, and learning to “come home” to yourself.

I work with individuals, couples, and relationships, and focus on offering evidence-based care in a strength-focused and compassionate space. Throughout the therapy process, we will focus on discovering and meeting your goals, processing emotions, and building tools for resiliency and healing.

I believe therapy should be collaborative, transparent, and rooted in human kindness. My counseling is multicultural, trauma-informed, and takes a systemically focused “Birdseye view” of problem orientation and solutions. I tailor my approaches to meet your specific needs, and use warmth, humor, and empathy to create a strong therapeutic relationship.
