I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from LSU in August 2024 and am a newly Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Utah and there is little I am more passionate about than suicide prevention. As such, I am committed to supporting my patients in building a life worth living with gold-standard psychotherapy. I am ready to “get into the pool” of discomfort with my patients and confront the prospect of suicide head on.
When it comes to treatment, I take and active role and a structured approach to treatment, especially if we are dealing with suicidal thoughts and behaviors. I am a proud and unabashed cognitive behavioral therapy nerd (#CBTworks), but I also have a great affinity for and regularly practice mindfulness and will often use acceptance-based approaches to treatment.
I am a lifelong Mormon (yes, I said it) and am a current member of the LDS Church. I grew up in the Church, as they say, and have been steeped in LDS practices and culture. But, if we are being honest and using labels (which can be helpful), I would characterize myself as a Jack Mormon. That being said, I treat all my patients with unconditional positive regard. As such, I am excited to support my patients in navigating faith issues and the intersection of mental illness. I know, firsthand, how painful, scary, confusing, isolating, and even angering the intersection of faith and mental illness can be; I am here for it, and even excited to dig into the weeds. So, whether you are True Blue Mormon, Physically in and Mentally Out, ExMo, or somewhere in between, I’m excited and eager to have those conversations and support my patients wherever they land.
As of August, 2025 I am a Staff Psychologist at the VA Salt Lake City Healthcare System. I can take new private pay patients on an as needed and referral only basis.
