Professional Statement

Hello, my name is Reynie (pronounced “Renny”). I have more than twenty-five years of experience providing mental health therapy in a wide range of settings, and I continue to be passionate about supporting people in creating lasting well-being and a more fulfilling life. I bring a warm, compassionate, and accepting presence to my work, and I strive to understand each client as a whole person so our work together feels purposeful, collaborative, and impactful.
My primary therapeutic orientation is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Through this approach, I help clients build practical, day-to-day coping skills while also exploring and addressing underlying patterns that may be affecting their overall functioning. Together, we work toward understanding pain with openness, making room for difficult experiences, and taking meaningful action guided by personal values.
I use a trauma-informed, evidence-based framework and integrate approaches such as ACT, CBT, REBT, and EMDR. I work with individuals affected by trauma and post-traumatic stress, as well as concerns related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD traits, LGBTQ+ identity and self-acceptance, and faith transitions or religious trauma.
