Hi, I’m Sheila, a Registered Psychologist and director at Aspire Counselling and Psychology. I serve clients in the Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Parkland County, and Greater Edmonton areas, as well as providing telehealth services to individuals throughout Alberta. My approach is gentle, empathetic, and humanistic; I aim to provide a supportive, non-judgmental space for healing.

Because of my personal background in the LDS church, I have a nuanced appreciation and understanding of the teachings and culture that shape the experiences of those with similar roots. No matter where you are on the spectrum of faith and activity, I respect your beliefs and want you to have the support you need.

I’m trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Gottman method, person-centered therapy, and transactional analysis. My work is trauma-informed; I’m passionate about helping clients heal from past trauma while fostering autonomy, a strong sense of self, and healthy connections.
