Professional Statement

Guilt, shame, stress, and self-punishment—these are signs of anxious perfectionism. It’s exhausting, but you don’t really know how to relax and probably don’t sleep so well. Anxious perfectionism may also show up as body tension, severe procrastination and indecision, and difficulty with boundaries and people-pleasing. No matter how hard you try, you’re always falling short. Perfectionists don’t do things perfectly—they feel like they ALWAYS have to do better.

I’ve helped hundreds of anxious perfectionists feel like they can breathe again. I aim for the root of anxiety, perfectionism, & chronic guilt with tools I’ve honed over 7 years of practice. I blend art therapy, parts work, & other therapy techniques to help you feel unburdened, deeply rested, and unapologetically joyful.

Additionally, I love working with faith transitions and mixed-faith relationships. I understand the cultural, emotional, and practical nuances in these unique experiences, and I would love to connect with you and hear your story.

I’m an active and engaging therapist who gives lots of feedback and asks challenging questions. I’m warm, caring, and real; I laugh a bunch & I’m not afraid of tears. I’m licensed to practice in the states of Utah, California, and Ohio.
